A Bangladeshi youth was killed in a road accident at Brits in the northwest province of South Africa on Friday evening.

The deceased is Mosharraf Hossain Milon, 36, of Paikpara village of Bogadana union of Sonagazi in Feni.


Milon’s father Noor Islam said that Milon was seriously injured when a lorry hit him while he was returning from a mosque.

Milon was taken to a hospital, where doctors declared him dead, Noor Islam said.

Milon went to South Africa in 2011 in search of livelihood, his father said, adding that he had several businesses there, including two shops.

Milon’s relative Emdad Hossain said that the body of Milon was kept in the morgue of the hospital and his body would be returned to Bangladesh, which was in process.
